A Fun Twist on Sunflower Seed Butter and Jelly
Sunflower seed butter and jelly is a combination my children already love, so I knew they would enjoy these muffins. What I didn’t expect was how much I would love them too!
The sunflower seed butter gives the muffins a delicious flavor, while the jelly adds just the right amount of sweetness and fruity flavor. The result is a soft, moist muffin that tastes familiar but is still something a little different.
And then there are those jelly-filled tops!
As the muffins bake, some of the jelly makes its way toward the surface and bubbles through the tops. It gives them a homemade, slightly rustic look that I absolutely love.

An Easy Homemade Snack
One of my favorite things about these sunflower seed butter muffins is how easy they are to make.
You don’t need to spend hours in the kitchen to make a homemade snack that your family will enjoy. Mix the ingredients together, add the sunflower seed butter and jelly, and let the oven do the rest.
I like making a batch to have available throughout the week. They’re easy to grab when my children are hungry for a snack, but they’re also good enough that I find myself reaching for one too!
These muffins are especially delicious when they’re still slightly warm from the oven, but they also make a convenient snack once they have cooled.

When to Serve Sunflower Seed Butter and Jelly Muffins
These muffins are versatile enough to enjoy throughout the day. Try serving them as:
- An easy breakfast muffin
- An after-school snack

If you’re looking for a homemade snack that doesn’t take a lot of effort, these are a great option.
Tips for Making the Best Muffins
For the best texture, be careful not to overmix the muffin batter. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
You can also experiment with different flavors of jelly to change things up. Strawberry, grape, raspberry, or your family’s favorite jelly can all give these muffins a slightly different flavor.
The best part is that you don’t have to worry about making every muffin look perfect. The jelly bubbling through the tops is part of their charm!
