Homemade Sunflower Seed Butter

Ingredients

  • 3 cups raw sunflower seeds
  • 1-3 TBSP sunflower seed oil or oil of your choice
  • pinch of salt
  • Sweetener of your choice

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°.

  2. Spread your sunflower seeds on a prepared baking sheet in an even layer and roast for 15-20 minutes or until your seeds begin to turn lightly golden.

  3. Allow your seeds to cool for about 5 minutes and then add to your blender.

  4. Blender on high for 2-3 minutes. Once your sunflower seed butter starts coming together and smoothing out, you can drizzle in your oil until you have the perfect consistancy.

  5. If you are sweetening this, you can add your sweetender at this time. Note: Liquid sweeteners are going to result in a more stiff butter. Perfectly fine when using it as an ingredient in making.
